Cordless Tool Battery Restore

(1/1)

Initalone:
I saw a similar video on youtube about a year ago but never got around to trying it.  I have to say this trick works as my 19.2 V craftsman batteries seem as new afterwards.  In this video the guy doesn't mention testing the polarity, but he does show how his machine is set.  My preference is an "old school" analog tester in which you can visually see the swing of the needle which lets you see the direction of flow. You still need to check your batteries as I didn't see markings on mine.  I also tested my welder to assure which way the current was flowing.  I suppose you could use an arc welder instead of a mig if the machine was DC ,not AC. They both should produce voltages in the 24 range.

Attached also is a link which describes DC polarity and flow.
