And lots of that nickel stuff, mentioned earlier. We used lots of nickel and even lead (Pb) in the steel making process, also other elements in a smaller part, magenese, selenium, etc.  Spinning would be the only way earth can keep lead particles from bunching togather and falling to the 'bottom'.    ed

there are some chemicals which will bond with iron when in a liquid state - gold being one of them.  Maybe we have a golden crystal at the heart of the earth    mind you nickel is another and thats what they make batteries out of..... it  just doesnt have the same ring to it    Regards, alex

Gee Ed that is an interesting view like a centrifuge. If a body passes fast enough and close enough to ever speed our rotation we would be spitting up all kinds of stuff{{:>)

I'm seeing a spinning conical vortex of this blend of elements in my mind rather than just
a hot glowing ball of molten iron & other elements.

it is tough to settle on either one or the other as to whether the earths core is a solid ball of minerals predominantly iron or whether the intense pressures and can turn a soup of materials into a crystal of sorts. In the early days the preponderance of the evidence was a solid ball of iron. New technology and super computer deductions say that it could be crystalline in nature. I reckon it boils down to picking your poison. I go with some type of crystalline nature. It sounds impossible that a lump of simple carbon can be turned into a crystal clear super hard substance like a diamond but the effect is true. ........  What the center of the earth is like is as yet still being discovered.

Everything liquid on this planet when is travels in any direction travels a vortex. Hence the drainage in sinks etc. It makes sense in my mind that the liquid in the center has to follow this pattern. No road trips to  Shamabala yet. Darn
