I viewed the movie last night. The special effects were overwhelming! I think the movie did follow Patrick Geryl's ideas on what's gonna happen. They didn't get too specific, which I think will make folks thirsty for more knowledge about 2012.

Folks I moved this Topic, "2012 the movie" over here to Kurt's area.
It makes sense to me to have the 2012 movie discussion going on here in "2012 What do They Say."

Also please see here the new Topic, "More Apocalypse in the media - movies, books, news, documentaries, hints etc."   https://planetxtownhall.com/index.php?topic=23.0
The New Topic opens the discussion with the upcoming movie, "The Road."

I took my kids to see the movie on Sunday.  I thought it was excellent.  Its very long, almost 3 hours.  My son sat glued to the screen which is unusual for him.  ;D

The effects are great, and rough to watch.  The Bible claims that the Lord however will not judge the world using flooding again as per the rainbow scenario, but he did say that the end days will burn.  The movie Knowing is actually closer too the end times beliefs.  And possible PX Events.

We'll just have to wait and see and prepare for either case.  I know of a great cave in Kentucky.   :o

Recently:
Watched 2012 with my grownup son too - it got him thinking more.
Maybe slightly glad he isn't in L.A. anymore...

That movie was pretty drastic for CA, falling in the ocean and all. Didn;t you get a charge out of the Woody Haraldson character ?

Yes Woody Harrelson was a crack up. My only disappointment with the film is his character decides to let the eruptions and explosions claim him, when he could have saved himself by going with the main character guy. .

Just a sidenote: In real life, we need all the funny men  ;D we can, so I hope someone with a big hook takes
them offstage and to a shelter...

Well I suppose most everyone has seen the movie one way or the other.
Anyway: That last scene was the main character and his daughter, driving out of Yellowstone.

Ed, I think you are right in this. By not spelling out so much exactly what was causing the cataclysm, they leave people reaching to learn more about what could happen around 2012.

I hope so, Barb. Good thing Mr. Masters doesn't look like Woody. Folks would think he's playing off of the movie. Well, at least he doesn't look too much like Woody.haha
