Planet X Signs — Update No. 9 for June 22, 2016

| June 22, 2016

Planet X SignsWith this new Signs update for June of 2016 comes more bad news. In a nutshell:  more bad, in more places, and more kinds. While the mainstream corporate media carefully avoids The Big Picture, in this article we are going to explore the causes of two disturbing new trends: exploding homes and tornadoes in Europe.

The Tribulation has begun its early phases. Strange, tragic, destructive, rare, and unprecedented events are happening repeatedly, and at a rapidly increasing pace.

We keep seeing: broken car windows and hands holding large hailstones. Muddy rivers raging through city streets, destroying buildings and sweeping away vehicles. Cracked, drought-ridden earth, baked in record-breaking heatwaves. Tons of dead fish floating in rivers or lakes. Thousands of dead red crabs, or shrimp, or squid on a beach. Dozens of dead, beached whales, or turtles. Rivers of snowy-looking hail flowing through streets, later removed by snowplows. Tall ash columns coming from volcanoes. Massive, deadly landslides and mudslides. Sinkholes swallowing cars, trucks, or buses. Groups of animals killed by lightning, or by hail. Powerful tornadoes. Huge supercell thunderstorms that look like spaceships.

Welcome to the early Tribulation. It’s time to start getting your ducks in a row.

We are not the only ones saying this.

On June 1st Michael Snyder of The Economic Collapse Blog posted as part of an article about increased volcanic activity: “…the coming ‘collapse’ is not just about money. I am convinced that we are entering a ‘perfect storm’ in which a confluence of factors will absolutely cripple society and bring about changes that most of us would not even dare to imagine right now.”

On June 13th The Extinction Protocol released this statement, along with a graphic of a supercell thunderstorm and the text, “Earth in Crisis,” “Alert Level One.”

“…each of us will be confronted with new life-altering dilemmas as time progresses. We think it prudent to advise you to begin preparations for the series of crises that lie immediately ahead in mankind’s future.”

We agree.

Meteor Fireballs Events Increasing Steadily

A big, “Thank you!” to J.P. Jones for continuing to provide our meteor fireball statistics for us.

Fireballs are increasing significantly this year over the previous three years. During the last seven months, November through May, the average increase has been about 27%. Since the beginning of 2016 the average increase has been about 34%.

May2016-TotalFireballNumbers

Huge event fireball events, seen in multiple states and multiple countries, are increasing so much in this month that we can see a spike in activity over last year, even in just the first half of June! Let’s see what we get by the end of the month, since large fireball sightings are becoming much more common.

June-15-2016-HugeFireballEvents

And the total fireball sighting numbers are much higher this year than the last three years. We can see the increase after 2012, the beginning of the harbinger events that the Mayans were looking for with their calendar ending, and an even larger increase this year. We expect this to keep rising as the Planet X System approaches with its debris field, and also dislodging many additional space objects as it approaches. We expect this trend to continue to intensify.

AMS Total Fireballs, Jan-May, 2009-2016

06-05-2016_SpaceWeather.com_PHAsWhat about “Potentially Hazardous Asteroids” or “PHAs” that are passing by? The chart at right is from SpaceWeather.com on June 5th. We seem to be having many close passes recently, including the 0.4 lunar distance pass that happened on June 7th by an object seven meters wide. By comparison, the Arizona asteroid was a small one at 3 meters wide, and we will discuss the details of that in a moment.

But first, with all of the fireball and asteroid information in mind, let’s look at one of our new and disturbing recent trends.

What is Causing So Many “Mystery” House Explosions?

May 13, 2016, Wisconsin, “A house in the town of Sugar Camp exploded Friday morning…a neighbor reported the explosion…said he had broken windows in his home as a result of the explosion…The home was destroyed and left a small fire in the basement…Five homes in the neighborhood were also damaged with two being badly damaged, according to the release…The explosion is still under investigation.”

April 9, 2016, Missouri, Powerful blast levels Bollinger County house. “…authorities have not determined the blast’s cause.” “It wasn’t a bad fire afterward…just more of an explosion.” A man seven miles away said a tremor “rattled the roof” of his home. He thought it was probably an earthquake and reported that others at the seven mile range also felt the tremor.

February 20, 2016, Oklahoma, Explosion in northwest Oklahoma City destroys one house, damages four others. “…significant damage in an explosion that fire officials are blaming on natural gas, though it’s not clear what sparked it.”

February 19, 2016, York, England, Man killed in house explosion “The explosion sounded like a crash, one local resident said. The man, who did not wish to be named, was about 150 yards away at the time and described the loud bang that he said had ‘flattened’ the property and damaged others nearby…’The house has been completely flattened. It sounded as if a bus or something had crashed into a house, or like an aeroplane crash,’ he told the Press Association. ‘All the properties adjacent to the one that’s blown up have got damaged windows and garages.’ ”

January 12, 2016, Ohio. Family of 4 dies in house explosion. “Flames were shooting up from the home’s roof after the blast, which shook the neighborhood…Northfield Center Township’s fire chief, Frank Risko, has said the explosion doesn’t appear to have come from a gas leak.”

January 2, 2016, Oklahoma, Weekend explosion in NW Oklahoma City, neighbor’s home destroyed. “There’s still no word on what caused the explosion at a metro home over the weekend. It happened early Saturday morning. One home was leveled and dozens more were damaged.”

Then we also have this report from local news in Pittsburgh in January, 2016 about loud explosions, blast waves, homes being rattled, sometimes accompanied by lights in the sky. “Fayette Co. Residents Baffled, Unnerved By Mysterious Explosion.” “It’s a mystery not only in this area, but in communities across the country…Imagine you’re sitting on your front porch when out of nowhere a cataclysmic explosion goes off. You see a bright light, you feel the force, and then, it goes away. Then, when emergency responders go to investigate, they can’t find a thing…Well, it happened in Fayette County recently and it’s happening around the United States.”

Did you notice that reports about the house explosions say that people felt tremors, even miles away. Windows were rattled, or blasted out if they were closer. It sounded like an airplane or a bus crashed into the house. And there was not a big fire, just an explosion, which is not what you would expect with a gas leak. In the Pittsburgh news piece from January they describe a light, a blast wave (“you feel the force”), and then it goes away. An airburst event of a smaller meteor would be just that way.

We believe these incidents both with and without damage are all related to meteors.

Let’s explore a recent confirmed asteroid airburst event in Arizona, and the effects of larger meteor or asteroid impacts.

Small Asteroid Explodes Over Arizona

Not a meteor, mind you, a “small asteroid” is being admitted to in this report from SpaceWeather.com. The shape of things to come?

“On June 2nd just before 4 a.m. MST, a small asteroid hit Earth’s atmosphere and exploded over Arizona. The airburst shook the ground below and produced a flash of light 10x brighter than a full Moon. NASA says it was a 3-meter wide space rock from beyond the orbit of Mars.”

“Bill Cooke of NASA’s Meteoroid Environment Office says this is the brightest fireball detected in the 8-year history of the NASA’s All Sky Fireball Network, an array of cameras that monitors fireball activity across the USA. The fact that the explosion blinded most cameras that saw it initially complicated analysts’ efforts to pinpoint its nature and origin. Ultimately, however, they were able to draw firm conclusions: The mass of the asteroid was some tens of tons and it exploded with a kinetic energy of approximately 10 kilotons.”

” ‘There are no reports of any damage or injuries—just a lot of light and few sonic booms,’ says Cooke. ‘”If Doppler radar is any indication, there are almost certainly meteorites scattered on the ground north of Tucson.’ “

By comparison, the atomic bomb dropped on Hiroshima exploded with 15 kilotons of kinetic energy, only 1.5 times the energy of the Arizona blast. We are fortunate this blast missed Tucson and occurred in a rural area.

By comparison, the Chelyabinsk asteroid airbust in Russia on February 15, 2013 damaged hundreds of buildings and injured about 1,000 people. This object was about 15 meters across, and the blast carried 300 kilotons of force. It exploded right over Chelyabinsk, which increased the blast wave’s damage.

The Tunguska asteroid airburst event that flattened 825 square miles in Siberia in 1908 was about a 40 meter wide object, with about 2,775 kilotons of force, that exploded at about 28,000 feet. This blast had the force of 185 Hiroshima bombs. An eyewitness outside a trading post 40 miles away was thrown out of his chair by the blast wave, and felt that his whole shirt was burning from the thermal effects of the blast.

A direct hit or airburst by an object the size of even the “small asteroid” in the Arizona blast on a populated area would be devastating. Would a direct hit or close airburst by an even smaller object on a home, apartment building or industrial facility potentially destroy it? Yes, we believe this is exactly what is causing many of these “mystery” or “gas” explosions of homes and buildings around the world. Why would the media suppress the true cause? To avoid panic, to avoid a loss of control of the population, and to encourage everyone to “die in place” as things get worse, rather than to develop areas of safety underground.

Are meteor impacts sparking some of these massive wildfires as well? With many areas already tinder-dry from drought, this could easily be the case.

As fireball events multiply around the world we can expect that sooner or later, a truly devastating impact event will occur, perhaps more than once before the Planet X System has left our area of our solar system.

Tribulation Events Compilations

Let’s take a look at videos of some of the recent events. When you look at them all together, the pattern is clear. As Hawkkey Davis is saying, “Something Is Seriously Wrong” on the Earth.

Unprecedented, Huge Coronal Holes Form on the Sun

06-15-2016_SunCoronalHoleThe Express from the UK asked on May 27th, “Is the Sun DISINTEGRATING? NASA spots monster hole open up on our star

“NASA says the huge hole is actually not of great concern, but it remains unclear why the coronal holes actually form.

But it does mean that large amounts of solar winds, that cause the Aurora Borealis or Northern Lights to form, have been blasted to Earth.”

Coronal holes are the source of a high-speed wind of solar particles that streams off the sun some three times faster than the slower wind elsewhere.

While it’s unclear what causes coronal holes, they correlate to areas on the sun where magnetic fields soar up and away, without looping back down to the surface, as they do elsewhere.

It could also means [sic] the large holes are getting bigger.

Last October, NASA released images showing a smaller hole, which was the size of 50 Earths, had formed in the same area.

At that time, it was believed to have been one of the biggest ever recorded.

But not any more, since recent coronal holes are much larger. And with these huge coronal holes come increased solar winds, which cause geomagnetic storms, auroras, and increased lightning. We believe these solar winds are also energizing our atmosphere and increasing the intensity of storms such as hurricanes, supercell thunderstorms, hailstorms and tornadoes.

Red Sprites, Blue Jets and ELVEs

Once considered extremely rare, these events are occurring more frequently. Could this be related to increasing cosmic rays and solar winds, along with other energetic effects as the Planet X System approaches? We think so.

Video showing ELVE and a red sprite over a Colorado storm (in black & white).

On May 26th SpaceWeather.com reported a rare “pop-through gigantic jet” that was filmed along with some Red Sprites over a storm in Oklahoma. What is interesting about this? A “pop-through gigantic jet” warps Earth’s ionosphere, bringing it 50 kilometers lower over the Earth, down to the gigantic jet’s level. That is a powerful effect.

“Note the dendritic upward spray in the midst of the sprite cluster,” points out Ashcraft. “That is a possible ‘pop-through gigantic jet’–a rare event.”

What is a pop-through gigantic jet? Lightning scientist Oscar van der Velde of the Technical University of Catalonia explains: “A cluster of sprites can actually warp Earth’s ionosphere, bringing it down from its usual altitude of 90 km to only 40 km.” This sets the stage for the jet.

“The sprite cluster triggers an upward-directed discharge which in the past received fancy names as ‘troll’ or ‘palm tree’,” says van der Velde. “A satellite-based study by Taiwanese researchers in 2012 found them similar to gigantic jets–large isolated discharges reaching from the thundercloud toward the ionosphere. In case of a ‘pop-through gigantic jet,’ the lowering of the ionosphere is not uniform and the jet may then reach higher than the bottom tendrils of the sprite.”

Weather Madness Gets Madder

May 24th Tornado Outbreaks

May 24th, “DODGE CITY, Kan. — It was a chase to remember. One incredible thunderstorm spawned at least a dozen tornadoes on Tuesday night, and we were there to witness it…to see a single storm to drop so many is unusual.” Here is a video showing some of the larger tornadoes. “…as the storm passed it dropped hail almost as big as baseballs,” and tornadoes were also reported in Colorado and Texas that day.

There were also tornadoes in some very unusual places on May 24th, the same day as the powerful storm in Kansas:

On May 24th Central Serbia, “experienced a strong storm, with a tornado-like “landspout” forming in the sky.

On May 24th there was a tornado in Belo Pole, Vidin, Bulgaria, and reports and photos were made in other areas nearby. Here is a news report via Google Translate with pictures. Some of these appear to be strong tornadoes that you would not expect in Europe.

On May 24th, there was a tornado in the Czech Republic, which was rated F1.

So what was it about May 24th? A possible answer can be found on SpaceWeather.com. On May 20th they reported, “NOAA forecasters estimate a 60% chance of G1-class geomagnetic storms on May 20th when a co-rotating interaction region (CIR) is expected to hit Earth. CIRs are transition zones between slow- and fast-moving streams of solar wind. Strong magnetic fields and density gradients inside CIRs often do a good job sparking auroras.”

There were large coronal holes on the sun, and solar wind was reaching Earth from them during the few days before and during the May 24th tornado outbreaks. We believe that this arriving solar wind energized our atmosphere and sparked strong thunderstorms, lightning, hail and tornadoes, even in Europe, where they are normally rare.

Tornadoes in Other Unusual Places

Tornado rips off roofs as storm batters west Germany on May 22nd…Five houses had to be evacuated in Minden, North Rhine-Westphalia, after a tornado swept through the town on Sunday…Thirty-three people had to leave their homes in the town, after the storm ripped off roofs and toppled trees dangerously near to houses.”

This amateur video on YouTube is in German, but you can clearly see the tornado system that struck Schleswig Holstein in Northern Germany on June 5th. You can also see that the people filming were not aware of the extreme danger they were in. “In the German state of Schleswig-Holstein, residents got a glimpse of an even rarer anomaly: two tornadoes equivalent to an F3…Two of the tornadoes merged into one near Schleswig…”

The UK has had a few extremely rare tornadic events so far this season. “THERE are fears Britain could be gripped in a tornado storm this summer after shocking scenes of a twister sweeping through the Lincolnshire countryside…The spiralling column of wind swept across field and roads, picking up objects and spitting them back out.”

In the same article linked above about Lincolnshire is a slideshow (scroll down on the page) with almost seventy dramatic images from around the world: “World’s most extreme weather, Mon, June 20, 2016, The weather across the world is getting wilder and weirder, causing chaos, death and destruction around the globe.”

A tornado has been spotted over Hartlepool [England] just days after another one was seen sweeping across the British countryside…The unusual weather formation – more commonly spotted in areas of North America – is the latest in a long line of weird weather this spring.”

06-14-2016Tornado,GreeceA tornado whizzed through Xanthi, a city in Thrace, northeast Greece, spreading panic and destruction in its path early on Tuesday [June 14th]. The extreme weather phenomenon came in the wake of three earlier tornadoes that had swept through the plains of Xanthi. Destruction was noted at the municipalities of Avdiron and Topirou, whereas problems were also noted at Komotini, where crops were destroyed.”

“The National Weather Service confirmed that a tornado touched down in Martinsburg, West Virginia on June 16. The storm that spawned the tornado tracked through West Virginia, Maryland and Washington.”

06-11-2016TornadoDamageInBakerMT

Tornado Damage in Baker, MT

While tornadoes can seem interesting in YouTube videos and photographs, and professional storm chasers sound relatively calm, this video shows how terrifying it is to be on the ground near a tornado.

On June 11th in Baker, in Eastern Montana, an EF3 tornado dropped to ground level as a terrified family fled in their truck. “The National Weather Service rated the tornado that ripped through Baker on Saturday as an EF-3 in a preliminary storm survey — matching the strongest recorded in Montana history.”

Take weather warnings seriously this summer and keep yourself safe.

Severe Flooding Around the World

Extreme floods keep happening in many places around the world, along with extreme droughts in other places. Dramatic video of raging flash flood rivers traveling down city or village streets are becoming almost commonplace.

As many as 8,000 houses have been destroyed and 65,000 damaged. Over three million people have now been affected, tens of thousands evacuated from their homes and 2.3 million people are in need emergency life assistance…” “recent severe weather has inflicted a direct economic loss of 2.4 billion yuan.”

Dangerously Large Hail

Destructive large hail events keep happening in increasing numbers all around the world. Eyewitnesses in local media reports everywhere keep saying they have never seen anything like this, even people with decades of experience in their area. Here is an example from Myanmar, “At Least Eight Killed As Severe Storms Lash Northern Myanmar.”

It is easy to forget the human suffering involved in these events as they happen again and again. Here is the experience of some folks in a small village in Myanmar.

When [the hail stones] came through the roof, the four of us including my grandmother had to cover ourselves with blankets to protect us from the hail. I’ve never seen such kind of hail. I thought we would die,” said 35-year-old Ma Wai.

Six people from Kyaukse township’s Yay Tha Yauk village were killed in the extreme weather along with two others from separate areas. After 45 minutes of relentless gale-force wind, rain and hail, nearly all of the 179 houses in Yay Tha Yauk village were destroyed.

Despite the blanket used for protection, Ma Wai’s family was injured and their backs were bruised. According to the villagers, some of the hailstones were as large as quail eggs, others even bigger.

“We wanted to run to another house. But the whole compound was flooded and the water was about 3 feet high,” said Ma Wai.

The lethal natural disaster also killed over 100 cows and 153 goats in the village. Some of the people killed in the storm had been looking after the livestock.

“When they returned from herding the cows, it was hailing. They hid among the bamboo but the mountain torrent took them and swept them away,” said Yay Tha Yauk village administrator U Mya Aung…“The cows died because of the flood coming from the mountain but the goats were killed by the hail…”

Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, June 3rd, “A freak hailstorm wreaked havoc in several areas here this evening.” Cars were damaged, trees uprooted, and an office building was badly damaged, as can be seen in this video.

Moldovia, “Hundreds of villages were hit last night [June 18th] by a violent storm. In some, the hail balls as big as tennis ball and the rain smashed plantations and roofs, in others, the rain flooded gardens and cellars. Many portions of roads were blocked by fallen trees. Scores of households were flooded in the village of Magdacesti, near Chisinau.”

‘Hailstorm from hell’: How Thursday’s [June 16th] storms downed trees and dropped baseball-size hail in the Washington, D.C. area. Broken car windows, broken house windows and shades/blinds, the picture of the hand holding large hail. It’s all here.

In Colorado on June 6th – Hail stones the size of golf balls fell for 30 minutes.

Near Green Bay, Wisconsin on June 15th – Hail as large as 1.75 inches.

New Snow-Like Hailstorms

Vicious hailstorm pelts parts of Pennsylvania. One person posted on Facebook, “Holy hail storm!! It’s like a river down Main Street!” Red Lion looks like winter after hailstorm. “I’ve never seen hail like this,” said 60-year-old Jon Persing, code enforcement officer with Red Lion borough. “It almost was like snow.”

Australian Outback, June 17th, “A powerful storm hammered Alice Springs on Friday afternoon bringing hailstones the size of golf balls and gale force winds to the town.” The roof of a grocery store collapsed from the weight of the hail.

On May 5th in Southern Virginia, Massive hailstorm requires plows to clear roadways. “It looks like snow but it’s actually small pieces of hail.” “VDOT says three inches of it accumulated on the roads, requiring plows to clear Route 501 of hail in the Nathalie area.”

On May 23rd in the Czech Republic there was a strong hail storm that left snow-like accumulations.

Lightning Becomes More Deadly

University of Reading, Where Does Lightning Come From?Researchers from the University of Reading in the United Kingdom found that, “High-speed solar winds increase lightning strikes on Earth,” in a study they published in March of 2014.

As we saw in the space weather section, Earth is now being frequently enveloped in strong solar winds from the huge coronal holes that are becoming commonplace on the Sun. According to the University of Reading study, that solar wind interacts with our atmosphere and increases the number and intensity of lightning strikes on Earth. This could explain why there are increasing numbers of deaths and injuries from lightning recently, both of humans and animals.

At least 81 people were killed by lightning strikes in Bangladesh in two days during the recent spell of thunderstorms [May 11-12], a rare high casualty in the country attributed to climate change by the authorities. ‘Such a high casualty figure in lightning just in two days is rare not only in Bangladesh but also in the world,’ disaster management minister Mofazzal Hossain Chowdhury Maya told a media briefing at his office.” “…the Science and Technology Ministry was asked to carry out a research on the cause of the frequent lightning causing high number of deaths.”

Bihar, India: Lightning kills 28 in Bihar, highest ever in 24 hrs, just prior to June 22nd.

Odisha, India, “…at least 17 people were killed and several injured in lightning strikes during a thunderstorm in Odisha’s coastal districts of Kendrapara, Ganjam, Bhadrak and Bhubaneswar on Wednesday [June 1st].”

More than 30 people were taken to the hospital after lightning struck Saturday [May 28th] at the end of a children’s soccer match in western Germany, police said. Three adults were seriously injured in the incident in the town of Hoppstaedten, police said — including the 45-year-old referee, who suffered a cardiac arrest after being hit directly by lightning and had to be revived by onlookers and a doctor.”

“Three children and an adult were fighting for their lives on Saturday [May 28th] after they were among 11 people struck by lightning during a birthday party in a Paris park.” An off-duty fireman, Pascal Gremillet, was nearby and took immediate action that saved a child whose heart had stopped.

June 4th lightning strikes German music festival and injures 80 people. 8 were seriously injured. “The third and final day of the sell-out Rock am Ring music festival in Germany has been cancelled after lightning hurt at least 80 fans, organisers say.”

21 cattle killed by a single lightning strike, May 25th, South Dakota.

12 cattle killed by a single lightning strike, May 25th, Missouri. The family member who discovered the dead cattle said, “I came over the hill and I saw this and I was on the phone with my Dad and I kept counting more and more. He got off the phone because he thought I was lying.” This family has been farming and raising cattle for generations, but this incident was clearly new and unbelievable.

Lightning strike in the south of Kyrgyzstan killed 120 sheep. “120 sheep have been killed by a sudden lightning strike on June 16, 2016. The animals were killed at once, while the shepherd and his helpers managed to survive. The terrifying event occurred between 9 and 10 pm on a pasture in the village of Suuk Tobo in the Aksy district, Kyrgyzstan. The shepherd named Umar with two helpers were taking care of a herd of about 600 sheep and goats.”

If you do an Internet search about “lightning increase” you will see many articles linking increased lightning to “climate change” and “warming.” But solar wind and cosmic rays make more sense than “warming” to us here at YOWUSA, especially since some areas of our planet have been experiencing extreme and unusual cold, not warming.

“Thundersnow”

And what about cold weather lightning? We have begun having “thundersnow” in the last few years. In 2011 “thundersnow” was new and surprising to Jim Cantore of The Weather Channel. However, like many other “rare events” these days, it’s not so rare any more.

I have personally experienced “thundersnow” several times in Minnesota during the last few years, but not at all during the first 20 years I lived there. Those of you in cold climate areas have likely had a similar experience.

Unusual Cold

“…higher elevations in the West and East received rare June snow. The snow caused problems for one ski resort in Oregon. At Mt. Hood Skibowl, the resort had to close its summer adventure park on Monday and Tuesday due to the winterlike weather.”

Snow also fell in Hawaii on Tuesday [June 14th]. Temperatures dropped low enough that a dusting of snow coated the upper reaches of Manua Kea. While snow is not common during the summer months on the mountain, it has fallen during the season in the past, according to the National Weather Service.”

“The summit at Mount Washington in New Hampshire received 1.4 inches of snow during the early morning hours of June 14. So far this month nearly 7 inches has fallen, making it the third snowiest June since record keeping began in 1932, according to the Mount Washington Observatory.”

Second coldest Victoria Day long weekend in 40 years for Calgary.

In Washington, D.C., “This May’s average high temperature is just 66 degrees, the second coldest on record month-to-date. It is an amazing 15 degrees cooler than last year’s average month-to-date high of 81 degrees. Month-to-date, the only cooler year on record is 1882 (average high of 65.5 degrees).”

Extreme Heat

India’s roads are melting from the extreme heat. Many people have had their shoes get stuck. One woman got stuck and fell, but others helped her up quickly before traffic approached.

The record-breaking heat number in India was 51 Celsius. That is 123.8 Fahrenheit.

“May and June are typically India’s hottest months and temperatures regularly exceed 40C in the run-up to the monsoon rains, but the severity of this year’s heat had been unprecedented.”

“Hundreds of people have died as crops have withered in the fields in more than 13 states [in India], forcing tens of thousands of small farmers to abandon their land and move into the cities. Others have killed themselves rather than go to live in urban shanty towns.”

Now the monsoon season has arrived, bringing with it 80% of India’s annual rain now through September, and the expectation of some relief from the extreme heat.

Thailand endured the longest heatwave in five decades with an all-time high temperature of 44.6C recorded in late April in Mae Hong Son, beating a record that had stood since 1960.” “Worst drought in decades.”

Heat Exhaustion vs. Heat StrokeAnd in the United States, the Southwest is having a dangerous and record-breaking heatwave. “4 hikers die in Arizona as record-breaking heat scorches southwestern US…Phoenix broke a daily record and recorded its fifth highest all-time temperature on Sunday, hitting 118 degrees Fahrenheit.”

Wildfires and deadly heat wave hit Southwest U.S. “It was so hot in Phoenix Sunday that a Mesa Airlines flight to the city had to be diverted back to Texas, the airline said…Seven areas in western and central New Mexico broke heat records in addition to 14 places in California — where Palm Springs, Thermal, Indio and Borrego all saw temperatures 117 degrees or higher.”

Heat indexes are expected to hit 115 degrees in central Oklahoma and northeastern Arkansas,” and heat advisories are being issued for Missouri, Kansas, Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Mississippi, Iowa, Nebraska, Illinois, Louisiana, Kentucky and Tennessee.

The heat caused roads to buckle in parts of the Plains including Ames and Sioux City, Iowa. “AccuWeather ReelFeel® Temperatures hit 112 F in Houston on Thursday while Pittsburg, Kansas; West Memphis, Arkansas; and Dyersburg, Tennessee; each recorded ReelFeel Temperatures over 120 F.”

Volcanoes

The VolcanoDiscovery.com site lists 31 erupting volcanoes around the world right now. They have updated their map format and added name labels. This is a lower number than we have been having, but it’s a snapshot of what is happening today. Around May 21 through 24 there was more activity.

Erupting Volcanoes Around the World

Frantic volcanic activity seen across much of the globe. “During the last 10 days [before June 1st] close to 40 volcanoes worldwide have been showing signs of activity and great deal of them, 34, are located along the very active Ring Fire…Considering that in the 20th century the average number of volcanic eruptions was 35 per year, what we are seeing just this week is above last century´s average for an entire year.”

40 Volcanoes Are Erupting Right Now As The Crust Of The Earth Becomes Increasingly Unstable.

“The eruption down in Costa Rica took authorities completely by surprise, and a thick layer of dust and ash is coating vehicles and buildings 30 miles away in the capital city of San Jose…”

“Leading up to this eruption, there were ‘swarms of small earthquakes’ in the vicinity of the volcano, but scientists assured the public that these earthquake swarms were ‘not signs of an imminent eruption.’ ” The article goes on to point out that we are hearing the same message as earthquake swarms hit some volcanoes in America: Mt. Hood, Mt. Rainier, and Mt. St. Helens.

Here are some recent eruptions:

Sinabung, Indonesia erupts on May 21, “Villages in ashes after deadly Indonesia volcano eruption,” seven dead, others badly burned and in critical condition. “Thousands of residents near the erupting Mount Sinabung are suffering respiratory diseases after inhaling volcanic ash…The awareness among the community of the health dangers from inhaling volcanic ash is still low with many sufferers regarding coughing fits or flu-like symptoms as a non-issue, he added.”

Popocatepetl, Mexico erupts on June 12, creating a mushroom cloud of ash that extended 1.5 miles into the air.

Turrialba, Costa Rica erupts on May 21.

Mount Nevado del Ruiz, Colombia spewed ash May 19-25, raising fears of a destructive eruption and deadly mud flows (lahars), as had happened in 1985 with devastating effects.

Mount Etna, Italy erupts on May 21.

Mount Sourbaya, South Atlantic Ocean, “The eruption of Bristol Island’s Mount Sourbaya in the South Atlantic Ocean, which began on April 24, continued throughout May 2016.” per NASAs MODIS.

There seem to be new volcano concerns cropping up everywhere. In New Zealand they are concerned about Lake Taupo, which could destroy the entire central island if it erupted as it did 1,800 years ago.

Earthquakes

The IRIS Earthquake Browser reports 1,384 earthquakes of all magnitudes worldwide in the last 30 days.

06-21-2016IRISEarthquakeBrowser

In the last 30 days USGS shows 1,952 earthquakes around the world with a magnitude of 2.0 or greater, 632 with a magnitude of 4.0 or greater, 113 earthquakes with a magnitude of 5.0 or greater, and 17 with a magnitude of 6.0 or greater.

USGS Significant Earthquakes Past 30 Days:

The big earthquake story in the United States was the 5.2 that took place in Southern California on June 10th, waking residents around 1am. The epicenter was about 150 miles south of Los Angeles, where the shaking lasted for 30 seconds.

I have spoken to a few folks who live in Southern California, and who are in awareness and want to move away from the West Coast. This quake made a strong impact on them. It’s a warning and a wake-up call. Larger events are coming. Now is a good time to move to safer areas.

Large-scale motion detected near San Andreas FaultThen we have this, “Large-scale motion detected near San Andreas Fault System.” “The top diagram shows the lobes of movement, uplift in red and subsidence in blue, found using GPS data, while the bottom diagram shows the lobes predicted by an earthquake simulation model.” “Computer models simulating the San Andreas Fault System have predicted such crustal movement, but the areas of motion hadn’t been physically identified until now.”

In 1937 a seventeen-year-old named Joe Brandt had a series of prophetic dreams about the huge mega-quake in California, and other Earth changes, while he was in the hospital recovering from a fall from his horse. One version of his prophecy is available here.  PDF Download

Once you read it, you will hear over and over again in your mind, “This is California. We are going into the sea. This is California. We are going into the sea. Get to the high places. Get to the mountains…”

Foreshadowing

“Major Ed Dames Finally Reveals All”

Major Dames is offering an August 27th “Exposing Planet X” event in Las Vegas. The event description says the event, “Exposes declassified info about Planet-X!” and shows, “newly released Planet-X RV sessions,” and explains, “How is Planet-X related to the Killshot?” We are curious about what he will say about Planet X, “and other enigmas.”

Russian Large-Area Telescope Looking for Space Threats

Sayan Solar Observatory, RussiaRussia has implemented an asteroid-seeking large-area telescope capable of detecting space objects that could threaten Earth. “The AZT-33VM asteroid seeker is designed to execute rapid sky survey to spot and monitor potentially-dangerous space objects.” After Chelyabinsk they want some warning if something is coming.

President Obama Warns Citizens to Be Prepared

President Obama gave this talk after a briefing with the Department of Homeland Security just prior to the start of hurricane season. While many have commented that we haven’t had devastating hurricanes make landfall in the U. S. for several years, we have recently seen extremely destructive hurricanes and typhoons in other parts of the world (Fiji, Pacific Coast of Mexico, near Madagascar, the Philippines). See President Obama’s comments for yourself on the link above, without commentary or agenda, and draw your own conclusions about his message.

Cascadia Rising Exercise

This was a major disaster-preparedness exercise in the Pacific Northwest from June 7-10. If you would like the full, official details of the plan for this event, the complete 182 page document is available for download.

Here is an excerpt from a local news report from one area of Oregon where the exercise took place:

“As an emergency preparedness exercise that encompasses all aspects of emergency response, Cascadia Rising brings together multiple states (Oregon, Washington and Idaho) and FEMA to prepare for a Cascadia earthquake.

Major Oregon cities, 23 counties, nine tribal nations, 17 state agencies and departments, the American Red Cross and two private sector partner organizations are participating.

Emergency Operations and Coordination Centers at all levels of government will activate to coordinate simulated field response operations within their jurisdictions and with neighboring communities, state emergency operations and coordination centers, FEMA and a variety of military resources.”

Here is an Air National Guard unit’s official news report about their participation.

I know from working with volunteer groups such as CERT (Community Emergency Response Team) and ARES (Amateur Radio Emergency Services) that there are a lot of really good folks who train and volunteer their time so they will be able to help others when a disaster strikes (myself included).

What I see from scanning the exercise document is an attempt to identify what could happen, and to have all of the different agencies and groups practice working together to help the survivors of a Cascadia earthquake and tsunami disaster. “Interoperability” is the most difficult thing to accomplish in responding a large-scale disaster, and that is why all the different groups are working together at the same time over several days.

You will notice that this exercise was huge and complex, taking place in multiple states. It was very expensive. It involved 20,000 people and required thousands and thousands of hours from both paid staff and volunteers. What does this tell you? This is serious. The Cascadia Subduction Zone is going to quake. It’s going to trigger a massive tsunami. Sometime. Someday. Maybe soon.

If you skim through the full-length exercise document and see the expected damage, inundation zones, etc. you will probably conclude that it would be best to not be around there when that happens. Yes, that would be wise!

Learn Interoperability and Disaster Leadership Free

If you are preparing in any area of the country and want to have stronger disaster response skills and a good method to coordinate your efforts with separate groups, the FEMA Incident Command System (ICS) is excellent. Training is available online free of charge at the FEMA Emergency Management Institute. The four basic classes normally required for volunteers in CERT, ARES, and other similar service organizations are:

ICS-100: Introduction to the Incident Command System

ICS-200: ICS for Single Resources and Initial Action Incidents

IS-700: National Incident Management System, An Introduction

IS-800: National Response Framework, An Introduction

Many other courses are also available, free of charge. You can access the course information and download the materials without registering. If you would like a completion certificate you will need to register for a FEMA Student ID (SID) and take a test at the end.

Marshall and I have both participated with these and other online and in-person training programs through FEMA, DHS, CERT, ARES, etc., along with live disaster response exercises with CERT, and we do strongly recommend them. You will learn a lot, and you will meet some great folks.
