According to Swedish Mayan Metaphysics Researcher Dr. Carl Calleman and author of The Mayan Calendar and the
Transformation of Consciousness, the prophetic aspect of the Mayan calendar completely ignores the movement of planetary bodies.

The December 21, 2012 date which concerns Planet X / Nibiru researchers, is completely irrelevant to him, because he feels we should view the calendar as a metaphysical map of the future. What does this different map tell us? Expect a bumpy ride from now through October 10, 2011 so fasten your courage and raise your spirituality upright to the locked position.

Once we arrive at this pivotal 2011 date humanity will free itself from the dogma of left-brained religions like Islam and Christianity according to Mayan elders. At that time, our left and right brains will come into balance and men will think more like women (but women will continue to think the same.) However, this will not be a truly universal event as only 5% of the world will accept this transformation according to his best guess.  So what happens to the rest? They will die like violent, left-brained men which explain why Islam will suffer a strident setback in 2011.
